The lyrics for the all the songs throughout The Lyric Collection, not only show you all the lyrics, but also how the lyrics should be sung, using a very simple and intuitive key:

  • Normal Text - Is used for verse lyrics.
  • Bold Text - Is used for chorus lyrics.
  • Italic Text - Is used for whispered lyrics.
  • [Text in square brackets] - Is used for backing vocal lyrics.
  • A comma "," - Is used to show a small pause before the next lyric(s).
  • A full stop "." - Is used to show a natural end to the lyric (for example - Stop).
  • An ellipsis mark "..." - Is used to show a moderate pause before the next lyric(s).
  • A hyphen mark "-" - Is used to show an abrupt end to the lyric.
  • Any empty lines - Are used to show a lengthy pause between lyrics.
  • The word echo in brackets (Echo) - Is used to show the preceding word(s) are echoed.
